The purpose of Treasury is to ensure that the Bank has sufficient funds of the desired maturities at the lowest possible interest cost with an acceptable risk exposure, to enable the Bank to meet its financial commitments timeously. The main objective is the protection, preservation and optimization of the net interest margins of the Bank.
